Petersfield Rugby Football Club
Petersfield RFC was formed in 1927 and has grown to be the town's largest sports organisation. It moved to its current location at Penns Place in 1979, where the current clubhouse opened in 1989. The Club has gone from strength to strength and is proud of its ability to provide rugby for an age range of 6 - 60.
The Senior section runs 4 sides - a 1st XV which plays in London SW 4 League; 2nd and 3rd XVs which perform well in their respective merit tables, and a Veterans XV.
The Youth Section was formed in 1984 and membership has continued to grow year on year to be now over 300 strong - with teams in every age group from Under 6 to Under 16 and on to Colts. Its players have represented County, Divisional and International sides, and it has an enviable record in the Hampshire Cup and tournaments in the south of England. Players are continuing to graduate to play for the senior sides with great success and we currently have two players who are representing England - in the Under 19 girls and the senior Men's England Deaf teams.
The Club has recently completed a major extension to its well-appointed Clubhouse which provides additional changing rooms and other playing facilities.
For a small market town Club, Petersfield RFC has succeeded in making its mark both within Hampshire and beyond.
