Back with a vengeance!

The Petersfield Real Ale & Music Festival sprang to life in 2001. The event grew into the largest annual party in Petersfield and was heartily enjoyed by the men who like the beer and the ladies who like the dancing – and vice versa! It enjoyed a run of 6 successive years of great popularity as attendees kept coming back for more and before the organisers ran out of steam!

Last year all the festivals’s familiar ingredients – a lovingly compiled selection of real ales, great live music, hot food from snack to substantial and that unique atmosphere – were painstakingly reassembled at a new, relaxed ‘open space’ venue – Petersfield Rugby Club. The ‘regulars’ all expressed how pleased they were to see the town’s biggest annual party back after a break of three years, and those attending for the first time had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, whether taking in the evening’s live music in the club bar or chilling in the beer garden listening to mellow acoustic melodies on a Saturday afternoon. This year’s marquee offers a further area to enjoy the atmosphere and a performance by the unique King’s Pond Shanty Men.
